The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8

Can you remember or imagine when you were very little and could hardly walk and you walked in a scary place with your big daddy in front of you? Yes, it was ok then.

You were safe because your daddy was there to protect you. God is reminding us that it is like this again. We are walking through this world and it is a scary place. It is ok because our Daddy God is there to protect us.

If your human dad would do anything in his power to protect you, how much more would your heavenly Father? He has already decided to be there before you asked Him and already promised that He would never leave you unprotected, just like your daddy told you that he would be there for you. It takes the grace of God to trust our heavenly Father that He is walking with us in every situation. Our Father loves us so much that He never leaves us for a second unprotected. God wants us to be eternally with Him because He loves us so much.
