Turn, O Lord, and deliver me; save me because of Your unfailing love. Psalm 6:4

One of the greatest reasons for fear is that we fear that the Lord has turned away from us and has not remembered us. We may feel that the Lord has forgotten our need for deliverance and help. But this verse says turn, O Lord, turn back to me. Look at my poor and needy state and deliver me out of it.

We would love to have the Lord save us on our timetable. However, the Lord chooses to work on His eternal timetable instead. We do not know that this hesitation of the Lord is designed for our maximum benefit both now and in eternity.

God’s unfailing love for us calculates every possible benefit that could be derived from our situation. His unfailing love fills every crevice in our being and fills up all our hollow places. In this love, we experience His infinite wisdom and tender love at the perfect time.
