You made man ruler over the works of Your hands; You put everything under his feet. Psalm 8:6
The emotion of fear makes us feel helpless and inept. We feel dominated and insignificant. This verse is a reminder of why the Lord made us, to rule and reign even when our circumstances do not reflect this. We conquer fear by understanding who we truly are; that is, a prince or princess over the earth. Even though our circumstances may not reflect this when we are afraid, God has decreed that we will rule and reign even some day over those who abuse us and torment us.
We can suffer as a pauper or a prince. If we suffer as a prince for God’s sake, we will be much more able to conquer each day. We should be reminded that every situation has a season under the sun or a day in time. Even princes are made to be stronger by the situations that confront them.

God does not want us to suffer but uses momentary suffering for the good to strengthen and mature His people. The love of the Lord will live forever and establish His kingdom. Suffering will be turned into eternal rewards for those who must experience it.
