Those who know Your name will trust in You, for you Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You. Psalm 9:10

Freedom comes from knowing who will set you free. This scripture reveals the power of using and knowing God’s name to acquire freedom.

Those who know the Lord’s name will also know what the Lord is like in His character and His nature. This understanding of God’s qualities produces trust in His actions towards us. Trusting is an antidote for fear. How can we trust the Lord if we do not seek Him?

In seeking Him, we discover His faithfulness and unrelenting kindness towards us. Our God is a God of complete faithfulness and deep, deep love. A mother rarely, if ever, forsakes her child. The Lord will never forsake us because He is the giver and Creator of tenderness, faithfulness and generosity.
