I have set the Lord always before me, because He is at my right hand I will not be shaken. Psalm 16:8

This verse offers us a key insight into our fight with fear. It says, “that I have set the Lord always before me.” Fear likes to jump and dance in front of us, clamoring for our attention. Fear loves to be the star of the show and the movie of our thoughts. As human beings, we tend to notice more what is immediately set before us. So, when fear is the star of the show, it accomplishes its objective to control and dominate us. On the other hand, the Lord wants to be in front of us to give us freedom and abundance of peace.

The Lord always wants to lead us into one blessing after another. Fear wants to lead us into one bondage after another. In scripture, the right hand signifies favor or blessing.

This is the place where we will not be shaken. It is in dwelling here, at His right hand that we will find security and safety, which defeats the plans of fear to deceive and destroy us.
