Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6
This verse is a song and a cry of joy from the psalmist David. He recognized deeply in his being the eternal and priceless love of his God. David marveled at God’s covenant of love with him and that God would never leave him alone and desolate. In all our lives, we have experienced an unending need for God’s love, mercy and goodness. It is our only insurance policy in the turbulent and treacherous world that we live in.
David was reminding us that he would dwell in the Father’s house forever, to enjoy His presence and admire His countless treasures embodied in his relationship with Father God.

Our hearts long for home and David realized that in this love, he would find a home in the heart of God that he would never have to leave again. Imagine, no more moving! Imagine the joy and delight in our hearts when we come home to stay with our Father.
