Into Your hands I commit My spirit; redeem me, O Lord, the God of truth. Psalm 31:5

“Into Your hands I commit My spirit,” was the final cry of Jesus on the cross, thus fulfilling another prophecy from the Old Testament. These are words of love, trust and submission.
Jesus, as usual, provides us with an excellent model to battle adversity and the final enemy death. As men, our greatest fear is death. Jesus overcame this with an act of love and trust of His Father. We can defeat fear by giving God the leadership over our troubles just as Jesus gave the leadership over to Father God.

With Jesus amazing act of redemption, Father God redeemed mankind and destroyed the power of death. He literally bought and paid the price of His life for our heavy cost of sin. Jesus did it because no one else in the universe could have paid the ransom. This ransom was a true and final payment for the cost of all our sinful behavior. God is Truth and therefore we can trust Him with our life.
