But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His unfailing love. Psalm 33:18

The eyes of the Lord see everything and search out the heart of the men who fear Him. This means that they respect and believe that Father God’s unfailing love is so incredible and precious that they do not want to leave His presence.

His presence to them was their life, their breath, their hope and their future.They believed that life on this planet was a mere fleeting chapter of their story and that his unfailing love would lead to His unfailing presence. This clashed with the cultures around them that lived for the here and now. Yes, eat, drink and be merry, as the selfish man in Luke 12 states.

The lifestyle of God’s people was radically different because of His unfailing love, which permeated their thoughts, actions and the very depths of their heart. Acquiring the unfailing presence of God was their greatest insurance in their constant battle with fear and doubt. How much of your heart have you placed into God’s unfailing love? This will also tell us how much room we have left for fear in our lives.
