We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20

The ability to wait and hope is diminishing in our society. This is a byproduct of fear and division, which is weighing heavily on the minds of people. People are becoming tired about trying to find their own solutions and this verse has the answer for them.

We find strength to fight our fear by waiting on the Lord and hoping in His steadfast goodness to deliver us. In our instant society, we have become impatient about waiting for anything. Impulsive actions lead people into more trouble and fear.

The Lord stretches out His willing hand to lift us out of this mess of our own making. He is the solution and He is our help; He is our shield in the time of trouble. One of the great victories of life is for us to learn this concept. Therefore, Satan tries so hard to keep us from learning how to wait and hope for the Lord. He knows that he has no chance if we learn to do this consistently. Grasping the depth, width and height of God’s love is perhaps one of the greatest achievements of any human being. It is also the most impactful upon our future.
