I sought the Lord and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4

The key in this verse is explained by the Psalmist David when he sought the Lord first before his own solution. How long will it take for us to know that our own solutions lead us to nothing? We tangle our self-up using our own wisdom, but the wisdom of Almighty God is available to us because He is so in love with us. Would we not share almost anything with those who we love?

There are two wonderful responses in this verse. First, the Lord answered us, meaning He listened to our plea and heard our prayer. This also means that His heart is tender towards us and He is concerned about our problems. Then His abundant love bursts out of His heart and He delivers His children from their fears. This is a response of a loving Father, not a detached adult figure. The verse also said the word “all” which means no request was too small for God to solve.

When we were babies, our parents responded to our small and simple cries for help. They realized how helpless we were without their care. Our Almighty Father feels the same way about our condition in an unspeakably intense way. How He loves to gather us in His arms!
