Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

How many times have you appreciated a clean environment or clean laundry? God loves a clean heart so much more because His heart is pure and without ulterior motives. When our heart is not clean, this relationship is not possible.

God does everything in our lives to produce the most fruit possible in every situation. Our hearts are not pure because they are stained by our own rebellion and independence. In this condition, we cannot have the relationship with God that we so long to have.

When we lose fellowship with God, we have a big empty space there that tells us that something needs to change. Our hearts need to be made clean again by repentance. God who is the Creator, is the only one who can create a new heart within us. When the relationship is restored between God and us because of our repentance and God’s willingness to forgive, we have a right spirit between us and God. A right spirit means that I am in line with God’s thoughts, actions and heart. The Holy Spirit helps us with our interactions and relationship with God because God so desires to have a close and intimate relationship with us.
