Save me, O God, by Your name; vindicate me by Your might. Psalm 54:1

The names of God are very important to Him because they reflect and illuminate His character and nature. God loves to show His people who He is by loving and rescuing them. His every act is filled with love for His children. He is very family conscious and is extremely invested in being a loving and faithful Father God to His beloved. The Bible is resplendent with the acts and examples of His care, love and vindication.

God loves to vindicate His children by removing their blame and rehabilitating them when they are crippled and destroyed by sin through the power of His Word. He also vindicates us by the cleansing power of the blood of His Son Jesus, who paid our penalty of sin on the cross.

God loves purity in His family because He is pure. This is a picture of who He is. Our awesome God never grows tired of using His might to execute justice and express love for His needy family. Fortunately, His qualities are a defense for us and a fortress against fear, which would otherwise destroy us.
