O my Strength, I watch for You; You, O God are my fortress, my loving God. Psalm 59:1

Sometimes we must do a reality check about ourselves and the world that we live in. In this verse, the Psalmist seems to be doing just that. He is declaring that the Lord God is His strength. It is one thing to say that God is strong and mighty, but it is quite another thing to say that the Lord is my strength and my might.
David, through this identification with God, is resting and trusting even in His love for God, to be his fortress and daily strength. In our life, we need to be able to identify who will be our fortress and strength in times of trouble.
