My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26

Fear and terror plot and scheme to consume and control the flesh of men and immobilize their hearts. When God sees this wickedness, He rises up to strengthen the hearts of His beloved ones with courage and hope. God Himself is the source of all courage and hope and will not allow our hearts to faint and our flesh to be consumed without a battle and an infusion of heavenly power and intervention. This is because our God has a plan.

The plan is to build and ensure an eternal relationship with man that will not be ended by wickedness and all the resources of evil. God wishes to draw us into His beautiful and holy presence as part of the inheritance that He planned for us when He created us.

He wanted to place in man’s heart an eternal perspective that could not be dimmed by fear, disappointment and hopelessness. God put His light in our hearts so that the darkness cannot consume us. He is our light, our hope, our strength and our portion forever.
