In the day of my trouble, I will call to You, for You will answer me. Psalm 86:7

Can you remember the last day that you did not have any trouble? We are all very experienced at calling out to the Lord due to all different kinds of trouble that we have in our personal lives, our families, our jobs, our relationships, our health, etc.
Calling out to the Lord can be done through many different types of prayer that ask for His help. Most of our prayer lives consist of asking God to remove or change the trouble that we are experiencing. This can leave our relationship with God quite shallow because we do not have any time to develop our friendship with Him based on a deeper love.
Interpreting God’s answer to our trouble is quite a different skill than just asking for help. This is because God’s answers can come in innumerable forms. The timing of His answers is not our choice or method. As we grow in maturity with God, we will learn to better accept the wisdom and brilliance of His answer to our trouble. We will also grow in confidence that God will answer us when we call to Him.
