You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day. Psalm 91:5

Darkness and fear often appear together. This happens because we cannot see or control our environment. Dark and vain imaginations leap into action to magnify our fears. Terror also occurs when we cannot see to deal with our enemy.

It is our natural inclination to feel trapped when there is only one way or no way out. Our enemy quickly seizes upon this opportunity to take our eyes off God. The arrow of accusations also strikes fear into our hearts about what could be. Our Father is constantly reminding us of His ever-present protection and devotion to us. When we are afraid, we become self-centered and not God centered.
