From everlasting to everlasting, the Lord’s love is with those who fear Him; and His righteousness with their children’s children. Psalm 103:17

The uncreated and unending God offers limitless love to those who desire Him and pursue His affections. God’s love is more than enough to keep us enraptured with Him for all of eternity. God gives this to those who fear Him with reverence, humility and sincerity. Because He loves us in this way, the Lord wants us to learn how to love Him in return with all of our frail hearts. As we love the Lord in this way, we do it by His grace that empowers us to do it in a manner that is pleasing to Him. This grace is the action of the Holy Spirit because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our sins and pride.

This is another case of God’s overabundant generosity to all who make even the smallest step towards His yearning love. This delights Him so that He wants to see it again and again.

Therefore, God wants to extend this love and generosity to generation after generation. God wants to make both our individual lives and our succeeding generations an unending love story of the finest qualities of deep love, passion and commitment. God’s generosity is an expression of this generous love for the asking.
