God saved them from the hand of the foe; from the hand of the enemy He redeemed them. Psalm 106:10

Sometimes I think that the hand of the foe is like a swarm of bees. They can sting you and it really hurts. They come against you and oppose your plans for a little while. A foe may seek to stop you and delay you, but an enemy will seek to destroy you. If we are fighting, it is important for us to understand who we are fighting. How can we win if we are constantly fighting the wrong enemy? It would be a futile and worthless venture and would leave us exhausted and defeated.

Our God always knows who our foes and enemies are and who they will be in the future. Not only does He know them, but He knows how to defeat them because He knows their weaknesses and He is all powerful. Redeemed means buying back something lost or sold. Christ redeemed us from the hand of our arch enemy Satan. Jesus Christ bought us back from eternal death and suffering by the power of His sacrifice on the cross and His precious blood. This was more than sufficient to turn away the wrath of Father God and put us in the forever family of God where we will be always treasured and loved.
