God sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave.
Psalm 107:20

This is about a God who spoke creation into being with His words. This includes billions of stars and galaxies that He created by saying let there be light. His Word is all powerful and is completely true and reliable. There is nothing that cannot be accomplished without His Word and permission. His Word contains every good thought and idea in the mind of man. His Word brings completion of all things. So, when God sends forth His Word, it really means something. It creates life and form and substance. In this verse, God healed what was not right by speaking His Word. Men are lifeless and in chaos without His Word. His Word holds all things together and contains health and joy for mankind.

God sent His Son Jesus, who is the living Word. He was the perfect description of God Himself and was one being with Him. There was no separation. Therefore, the life of Jesus was so powerful in defeating fear and raising the dead from the grave. The fear of death was the deepest held fear of man. So, God sent His Son Jesus, the living Word of God, to rescue us from the grave if we come to Him and ask forgiveness for our sins.
