He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Psalm 112:7
Disobedience flings open the door for fear to enter and gain a foothold. When we obey God, we will not be having to contend with mistakes and errors of judgment that come with disobedience. These mistakes and errors serve to multiply our sorrows and misfortunes and create more bad news for us. When we think only of ourselves, our heart becomes divided about its intentions and motives. A steadfast heart is an undivided heart with pure motives.
When our hearts are steadfast on God’s commandments, we can focus and put all our energies into God’s success and victories. As this becomes a habit, we develop more of a trust in the Lord because we see that His ways are so beneficial to us and lead to more love for God and others. Loving others is a great way to bring people closer to Jesus and build relationships in God’s kingdom.
