Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. Psalm 144:1

This is very appropriate for our time and circumstance. It is a scriptural and life principle that praise establishes the opportunity for victory in our lives. Despair and hopelessness will only bring us failure and defeat. The word trains in this verse denotes a process of learning to become victorious. This happens as a result of learning to praise to our God and trust in the Lord.

When God trains our hands for war and our fingers for battle, it symbolizes how our bodies must be trained for the complexities of battle in this life. Each circumstance is different and requires a different approach for success. We need to learn to listen to our God and obey His commands to experience the outcome that we so need. God only knows what is really required to establish His kingdom and purposes.
