He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. Psalm 144:2

Love is the most powerful motivational force in our life. Fear is no match for it. We run to a loved one like a fortress when we are in trouble. We gather around family and other loved ones when we need support and encouragement as a stronghold. We call on dear friends to help deliver us from great difficulties. These same friends and family shield us from lies, accusations and many other troubles.

Love is a refuge in a fear filled world where we can find rest, strength and help to subdue our enemies and solve problems. God is our only sure fortress and He is the One who provides friends, family and loved ones to help guide, protect and defend us.

Sometimes God personally delivers us from us from trouble and shows His glorious hand of help and care. Trouble becomes more complex the more we engage and walk in fear. This is one reason why we need an all-knowing Savior to rescue us and guide us through life.
