God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3
Our tongues have wounded hearts and broken many lives. Our weapons devastate and even obliterate nations and other groups of people. We are the walking wounded in need of a healing touch and a loving hand. Our hospitals are technically more and more capable of healing the body, but we are not so adept at restoring the soul and the spirit of those we have wounded. Our words can be more easily forgiven than forgotten. We have a fractured capacity to trust others, which hinders binding us together. We are less able to build solutions that heal and cause others to grow spiritually and emotionally.

When God heals and binds up our wounds, He uses cords of lovingkindness, compassion and tenderness to make us whole again. God is not limited by time or circumstance. He is not intimidated by anything or anyone. Only God can provide the deep healing that our soul needs after we have been greatly wounded. His unfailing love surrounds us and seeps into the cracks and crevices of our injuries and insecurities to restore, repair and renew.
