The Lord delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love.
Psalm 147:11
We think it is wise to delight those who we love and care about deeply. Yet, we seem to have little regard for the actions and attitudes that would delight the Creator, the Lord God Almighty. This may be because we are so busy running our own lives. We are in a constant search to be loved deeply by other people or that special one in our life. This kind of search has given us emptiness and frustration. We have come up empty handed and empty hearted. We are realizing that accumulating things is not the remedy for unreturned love.
God is waiting patiently for us in the wings of our emptiness. God wants us to become hungry enough to dare to find our satisfaction in His unfailing love for us. This is a paradox for us because we fear that God is uncaring and ineffective in meeting our needs. Yet, when we jump into the promise of His love, we will find that it has no end or limit.

Many of us can remember the joy of falling in love and when we felt that everything around us was wonderful and satisfying. God’s love is much deeper and more fulfilling than the transient experience of human love.
There are many songs in Christian music culture that proclaim there is no love or will never be a love like our God. What would happen to us if we took a risk to find out if God’s claim is true?
