Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Have you ever been terrified with no plan of escape or solution? If the world continues to deteriorate, this will be the quandary of many people who will be facing the disintegration of order and peace.

This is likely to be a time of darkness and confusion where solutions do not readily appear before us. Our loved ones or what we hold dear might be in danger. Our methods of coping with problems and fear may be disintegrating into the darkness.

In this verse, God has presented us with a principle of coping with these turbulent times. It is simply learning to trust God with all your heart. This is achieved by practicing daily the thought that God has the answer to every possible problem that we could have. Our problem is that we want specific answers before we act. God often leads us into a chain of events that will eventually solve our problem. God’s answers may take longer, but they will stand the test of time and minister to the wounds in our heart. Sometimes we will see these only by hindsight into what we were facing. We will find that our solutions and understanding are woefully inadequate. The Lord is the only one who can make our path straight, which means that He has the best and quickest path to the solution. God’s answers are true and perfect.
