The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

We spend much of our lives searching for wisdom. Unfortunately, we find paths of frustration, anger, bitterness and pain instead. We look and long for that wise person, that great book or TV show to show us the way. Finding wisdom is a journey and not just a discovery. It is the art of applying that knowledge to the situation at hand. It is all about being flexible in using wisdom in the constantly changing situations of life

Honor, respect, awe and humility are tools by which we can capture wisdom for ourselves as these are the correct ways to approach the Lord. He is the keeper of all wisdom because He is the fount of all wisdom and understanding. When we can use these ways to approach the Lord, we can also have the necessary connection to continue to use understanding and wisdom in the proper way. Wisdom and understanding are the friends of an intimate life with the Holy One. A successful life is defined by its intimacy with Jesus.
