The way of the Lord is a refuge for the righteous, but it is the ruin of those who do evil. Proverbs 10:29

We are all looking for boundaries and borders to determine our position and place in life. These are important points of reference that we find to be safe and acceptable to us. These boundaries and borders help determine and initiate our actions that display our righteousness or lack of it.

The eye of the Lord is always upon those who make decisions about how they will respond to the Word of God.

The Word of God is God’s boundary or border that will be either a refuge or a place of ruin for all people. God does not play favorites and uses His Word to determine the amount of intimacy we have with Him. Those who obey His Word will have the deepest intimacy and connection with the character of Jesus. Jesus is the image of God in human form. All those who conform to this image should not fear ruin or evil for eternity. Those who do not become like Jesus will determine for themselves a destiny of ruin, desolation, eternal fire and punishment. How we live our lives in relationship to Jesus will determine the answer to our eternal destination. Have we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior and received forgiveness for our sins?
