Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.

Have you ever found a friend that is perfect and everlasting? Our world abounds with all different forms and states of imperfection. Our hearts long for the perfect because we feel that we can find rest in it. Sin is promoted out of the frustration in our hearts that we cannot find perfection or rest in any person, place or thing. When we have a society that is looking for their own personal satisfaction, we find ourselves in a place loaded and laced with sin and trouble.

Our loving God has provided us a flawless and perfect answer to this quandary in His Word. The advice embedded within the Word of God is perfect for each person using it. This is because Jesus is the Living Word and His promises are placed in it to shield us from taking the wrong path in life. Our biggest problem, then, is taking the time to understand and apply the Word to our lives. Jesus can give us living understanding if we take time to ask Him for direction and advice. This shields us from lies and deception. God always blesses a posture of humility, where we truly acknowledge our limitations and seek His perfect wisdom, insight and understanding.
