Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2
One of the ways that we defeat fear is to place all our available resources into having faith. Surely is a word that shows we can put all our resources on faith instead of fear. Isn’t it interesting that we are much more inclined to sing about our salvation than about our fear? It is salvation that inspires a song of joy in our heart.

We develop a song in our heart in many ways. One is pondering the goodness of the Lord to us. In this way, we build up a treasury of gratitude and thanksgiving inside our hearts. As we become more thankful and grateful, we gain in strength and power to serve the Lord with gladness in difficult times.
It is this very gladness that will dispel the darkness of fear and destroy the works of the enemy in our lives and in the lives of other people. As we develop a history of worship, gratitude and prayer, we can enter the presence of God through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for our sins.
