For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13

This is a declaration of love, intimacy and care from the Almighty God, Creator of the Universe. The phrase, the right hand, in scripture conveys a posture of acceptance, power and favor. There are many times in life when we would love to have a strong and sure right hand to save us when we have found ourselves in the bog and the slimy pit. We are very hungry to have someone save us from our mistakes, trouble and sin.

Sometimes we look to the wrong places to help and find ourselves in more trouble. It is when we establish intimacy with the Lord that we find true help and care for our wounds and hurts. We must take heed. Many people say they can help but are powerless to do so and want to take advantage of us. The Lord has all power and does not misuse His children but only seeks to help and bless them.
