“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.” Isaiah 48:22

We frequently underestimate the amazing gift of God’s peace. We are doing our best to get by in a chaotic world full of trouble, danger and suspicion. The world has walked so far away from God’s peace that they fail to appreciate the power and the joy wrapped inside it.
God’s peace comes as we obey and trust His Word and His promises. They bring us a sense of destiny, purpose and peace, which we can find nowhere else. Our relationship to God is defined by our desire to have an intimate relationship with Him. We need the peace of God to find and grow in this powerful exchange of love.
When we do not walk with the Lord, we will walk with wickedness instead. This evil brings fear, chaos, confusion and mistrust to our plans and purposes. The more we take control, the less peace we will have because we do not trust the leadership of God. Only God’s shalom peace can prepare us for the coming avalanche of fear and destruction. God’s peace is a safe haven for our minds and hearts to help us remain faithful until the end of our lives.
