Hear Me, you who know what is right, you people who have taken My instruction to heart: Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals or be terrified by their insults.
Isaiah 51:7

This verse is an example of how the Lord sends His Holy Spirit to inscribe the thoughts and ways upon the hearts and minds of those who wish to believe God’s Word. It is not an automatic process but more one of relationship where there is an exchange of invitation and affection.

When inscribing His words upon our hearts and minds, the Lord takes away fear and terror and replaces it with courage and strength. He sustains His believers during the scorn and ridicule of the enemy’s words or actions and emboldens them to remain joyful during suffering and trials.
