He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5

Isaiah paints a portrait of Jesus, who went before us and suffered beating, crushing and crucifixion so that we could be part of God’s forever family. It is a beautiful and humble saga of love, sacrifice and forgiveness that will last throughout all time and eternity. Jesus traded our fear and transgressions to bring us peace with God forever. He took our hurts and pains so that we could be spiritually and physically healed.

The scene at the cross looked like a complete victory for all that was evil; but instead, Jesus selfless act of laying down His very life brought songs of joy and redemption for untold millions of people. It is a powerful story that has been retold and heard countless times throughout all human history. His death and resurrection have declared an unending love story of power, mercy and hope. Death has been forever defeated and fear of death is vanquished!
