Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood. Isaiah 54:4

Have you ever met a family that you would like to avoid? The family of fear would be a great example. The brothers and sisters are shame, disgrace, humiliation, reproach and anxiety among others. Together they form a determined group to keep you away from God and knowing His love, power and freedom. They are like the bullies on the block that love to hurt and shame you.

God tells us that it doesn’t have to be that way because His powerful love routs the family of fear in our lives. God wants to heal our hearts and memories from fear’s attacks and then crush the power of accusation and offense in our minds. God will then rewrite our painful history and bring us into His holy family through salvation in Jesus Christ.
