As the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return to it without watering the earth, …so is My Word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:10a-11

Empty words and promises float back like vapor from where it came. They may be great promises, but they dissipate into meaninglessness. The heart of man may promise much but give very little. We try to capture what is real, but it turns out to be fake. This proves to be very frustrating for most of us as we look for solid answers that we can depend upon.

God’s Word stands unchanged until it accomplishes the purpose for which it was given. God extends His hand throughout human history by speaking His Word, which brings all things into life. Every word He speaks expresses His desires and purposes in His children’s lives. Each word is crafted with love, precision, great faithfulness. This dispels fear and doubt and creates a destiny that is perfect for us.
