For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.
Isaiah 62:1

God declares His intent and purpose for Zion, Jerusalem and for us in this verse. It is a covenant of love and faithfulness to His people and to us that are part of His faith family. God declares that He is always working, sometimes overtly and always covertly to achieve the salvation of Israel and the whole world.

Part of this word from Father God is to cover us and view us with His righteousness that is reflected in His Son Jesus Christ. The light here refers to God’s presence and the power of His love. There is an implication that the fear and darkness will be overcome by His love and His light as God acts and moves in the earth. God has His kingdom in heaven, but His desire is to establish it also for all of us on this planet.
