Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him. Isaiah 64:4

This is another way of saying no one has loved or been able to love before the beginning of time like God has loved those who wait for Him. It is a joy to be loved excellently and lavishly in the way that only God can love us. Our heart and soul long to be loved deeply and exquisitely because God made us with a God shaped vacuum that only He can fill.

The privilege of enjoying this kind of love comes to those who have cultivated the skill of waiting on God for more and more needs in their lives. This waiting makes our hearts more desperate to be loved in this way. This kind of love comes from making time for God a priority in our lives and crying out to Him again and again to save and deliver us.
