Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. Micah 7:18

Do you know someone who would not forgive you despite many attempts and apologies? This is a common problem in our society today where people cannot forgive because they choose not to forgive. This results in the destruction of the fabric of our society and attacks the core of our ability to love.

Our God does not see things this way. God delights in forgiveness and showing mercy to those who have sinned and ask for His forgiveness. This reflects His great love for us and how He desires us to be part of the family of God, even when we disregard the Word of God. Our God is not just merciful, but He delights to show mercy even to the most hardened heart. His immense mercy balances out His right to be angry at our sinfulness. Broken and deceived people desperately need His incredible kindness and generosity. We can obtain this by asking for God’s mercy through the blood sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. What an amazing and splendid gift this is for all those who are deeply distressed about our sins.
