Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, O Lord. Renew them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. Habakkuk 3:1

Any vibrant relationship needs to have a history of shared memories and continual communication between the parties involved. This verse is a good example of that type of communication, where our God relates to us on our level. The prophet Habakkuk reminds God of His great deeds and abundant mercy towards us.

Habakkuk reiterates the need for the Lord to show the disobedient ones, on many different occasions, mercy amidst wrath to them. The Lord loves to hear us recount His great deeds and remind Him of the words that He has spoken to us. It is this two-way communication that keeps our relationship with God strong and full of life. It also helps us to fight fear when our mistakes and sin taunt us
