But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:33-34

In the world, we seek to build our own kingdom and proclaim our own righteousness. This results in a lot of trouble for us and a hollow and empty life. We concentrate on earning our kingdom and building our reputations rather than seeking the Kingdom of God. We can point to many things in our life that were important to us at one time but mean little or nothing to us now. Our tomorrows have come and have eclipsed what we thought was so important today.
God has superior ideas and a superior kingdom to ours. He promises us that if we seek His Kingdom first with a pure heart, humility and obedience, we will be given all that we need along the way as well. His Kingdom was given to bless everyone who embraced His leadership with trust and confidence. Therefore, we do not need to worry about the future as He has it all under control. We do not fret news of a troubled future when our focus is on God.
