Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Fear is a weighty, oppressive and tormenting monster that sucks the life, energy and ambition out of our lives. Fear is never satisfied until it totally consumes and annihilates its victims.

Jesus has invited us to come to Him when we are in this condition. He promises to fresh and renew us with rest from the attacks of fear and torment. Evil flourishes in fear and torment but God’s love abounds even more when evil threatens to destroy us. God’s perfect love is more than enough to give us deep peace and confidence, and also heal our weary bodies and wounds of the soul.
