Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. Matthew 24:12-13

The deception of wickedness has increased the power and scope of fear and anxiety in our society. This anxiety and fear has robbed people of the time and ability to love in their relationships. Where love is lacking, hearts grow cold. When hearts are cold, God is not sought out or heard and His power is not evident in the church or in society. A lukewarm church has enabled the evil one to distract us and weaken our faith and resolve to know God and to experience His salvation. When God is not worshipped and served, the salvation message is not spoken with fervor because fear has eroded the resolve of our hearts and soul.

It is the power of love, for God and His people, The Holy Bible, prayer and community of believers that enables us to stand firm to the end. Love gives us something powerful to fight and live for.

It is through many trials and tribulations that we enter the Kingdom of God, (Acts 14:22). Even we, as weak and broken people, can stand firm to the end connected to the faithfulness and the steadfast love of the Lord.
