Do to others as you would have them do to you. Luke 6:31
We wander around aimlessly looking for love in a place filled with fear, doubt and suspicion. In this verse we find Jesus’ answer to this problem. When we treat others as we would have them treat us, this gentleness, generosity and kindness unlocks the door to love. Many of us have pounded on the door of love but found it unyielding and locked because of selfishness and hurt.

With this method, we are modeling and teaching others how to treat people. We do not realize that humans are often clueless and looking for a way to love more effectively. Jesus uses this formula to unlock hearts and build more Godly, tender and caring relationships. If more people did as Jesus suggested, society would be changed in a profound and positive way. We would become people who build community, faithfulness and trust.
