I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell.

We should have a healthy respect for our enemies and be constantly aware of their plans and schemes to hurt or destroy us. Our most deadly enemies on earth are the ones that have the power to inflict death. They use fear, intimidation, hatred and pain to accomplish the death of the body. They want to control our thoughts and actions to accomplish their ends, which usually includes renouncing your faith in Christ Jesus.

It is only God who has ultimate control over your life and chooses your final destination for eternity. We can overcome all the schemes of the enemy by choosing Jesus Christ our Savior, who triumphed over death for us. Choosing Jesus as our Savior is the only sure way to end up in heaven. Rejecting this free gift of salvation ensures that you will write your own ticket to hell.
