I (Jesus) in them and You (Father) in Me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent Me and have loved them even as you have loved Me.
John 17:23

We are divided from this and that, from one and then another. In our world division occurs much more than multiplication. When we see unity, we often become suspicious of their intent and motives.

The delight of our enemy is to continually divide as much as possible. In doing this, we become weaker because we lose our focus to find our way towards meeting God.

Jesus is the picture of obedience, unity, focus and communion with God. There is no division or weakness found in Him or lack of focus towards His mission to bring salvation to the world. In the midst of so much division, we have a deep longing to be loved and cherished. Father God clearly stated how much He loved His Son Jesus and was delighted in Him. Jesus told His disciples that Father God loved them as much as He loves Jesus. This is an incredible and astonishing truth that boggles our fragile and divided minds and hearts. It is in knowing Jesus and Father God that we can begin to understand the deep incomparable love of our Father God for us.
