Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 1 Corinthians 9:25

There are many dusty trophies and medals lying on forgotten mantles and shelves. Their memories and thrills are mostly forgotten or dim. They were once very important and occupied our full attention. Now they are forgotten relics of the past. This has occurred despite the fact that to get them required strict discipline and training on our part for many years.

There is one crown that will never collect dust and will continue to shine and radiate the achievements of its wearer forever. This is the crown that Jesus bestows upon us for our acts of love and faithfulness while we were on this earth and in His service.
