Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:5b-8a

Love is not just a noun; it is an action verb. It is when we treat love as just a noun that it dries up in our relationships with God and man and becomes just a good story. Loving and being loved by God fulfills the God shaped vacuum in each one of us. Loving correctly and deeply is one of the greatest accomplishments of any human being. It requires thought, prayer, planning and insight from God to bring the other person closer to Jesus.

A loving person seeks good for the one being loved. A loving person is not happy when evil prevails but rejoices when the truth is revealed. Love goes above and beyond what is required and always seeks to protect. A loving relationship built on trust fosters hope, which allows it to persevere in difficult times of fear and doubt. A person’s life that is built on faith, hope and trust will remind us of a love that never fails.
