The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
In this life, we pile up many weapons, but we don’t always know how to identify or fight our enemy. Our most dire enemies lurk in the battlefield of our mind. They attempt to hold sway over our heart and soul by pouring out a foul and incessant stream of lies, half-truths and deception. The evil enemies do not fight fair in their attempts to destroy our connection to God and the loved ones around us.

Our God has given us weapons to fight these enemies, which are found in the Word of God. The armor of God is found in Ephesians 6:10-17 and says that the only offensive weapon is the Word of God. We must take every thought captive in our minds so that the enemy cannot destroy or deceive us into a journey of darkness.
Satan’s main weapons to destroy us are fear and intimidation. Standing on the promises written in the Word of God demolishes all the works of the enemy. Love, faith and hope abound when we apply God’s principles on our journey to heaven.
