I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20
When we accept Christ as our Savior, we are permitted to experience His joy and pain as well. In our human frame, this can be both intimidating and inviting. In our walk with Christ, we no longer live for ourselves because we surrender our very life to do God’s will. We can do this by faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who lived a life of great love for us and then gave us His life so that we could be part of God’s forever family.
Who would freely give up being God for a mere human being? This is but a small example of Christ’s love for us, going to the extreme of giving up His very life. Christ did this for us to save us from hell and empower us to do great acts of love for Him and towards each other. This love is triggered by our faith in Jesus Christ. When Christ lives in us, faith, love and hope abide, but the greatest of all these is love.
