Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

We have all grown weary of doing good for others. We do not live in a worldly society that promotes appreciation and gratitude, but rather, a self-seeking and self-centered lifestyle. Our natural inclination is self-preservation, and not helping others in their daily struggles and trials. This is complicated by the fact that we live in a microwave society where we want all of our rewards right now.

God is more concerned about soul preservation rather than self-preservation. Our Creator God’s rewards often come more slowly but they are far greater, richer and more satisfying than what the world has to offer us. Failure in God’s eyes is when we give up or give in to the wiles of the enemy. The harvest will be more plentiful as each does their own assignment from God to develop intimacy with God and share the gospel with others.
